The journey begins....

I'm excited and nervous about this new journey. This program is very important to me and it's a personal mission. I've always a had concerns for the well being of others, especially kids, even when I was a little girl. I was no more than maybe 7 or 8 when I heard a neighborhood kid, that was friends with my older brother hold a conversation and every other word was profanity. I thought to myself something is really wrong. What has happened in his life that his communication skills was so unnatural. Therefore, my 8 year old self wanted to help him. I approached him and ask him with all sincerity "why do you curse so much?" I actually thought he was going to confide in me and tell me his issues. Instead I got cursed out. Shocker! LOL. I've always wanted to make a positive impact on children. I thank God for this opportunity.
